Microtwists are fine two-strand twists installed with human hair for extra length and fullness. They give a soft, natural texture that suits both casual and formal styling, and they are one of the gentlest protective styles we offer.
Sizing is agreed before we start: the finer the twist, the more definition and styling flexibility, and the longer the installation takes.

Frequently asked questions
How long do microtwists last?
Typically 4 to 8 weeks. Keeping your scalp moisturised and tying the hair at night makes them last towards the top of that range.
Can microtwists turn into locs?
They can be allowed to mat into locs over time, but if you want true Sisterlocks or micro locs we recommend a proper installation instead.
